200,000 Euros for Dr. Izabella Penier

August 2016 –  Dr. Izabella Penier has received 200,000 Euros from the Horizon 2020, Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action programme for the Postdoctoral Fellowship project. This is a two-year project following on from Dr. Raphael Hoermann’s 2014-2015 project, both mentored by Alan Rice. IBAR has achieved 2 of the 3 MSC Actions projects at UCLAN over the past decade, a phenomenal success rate in a very competitive area. Alan’s own success rate is 50% whilst overall success rate are around 12%.

Izabella’s project is Black women/Black Nationalism – Feminist Discourses on Nation-Building in American and British Literature and Visual Arts.
